Dymonic® Sealant
Product # D012239
Ideal for dynamically moving joints
Dymonic® is a high performance, low modulus, one-component, moisture curing, modified polyurethane joint sealant.
It is specifically designed for sealing dynamically moving joints such as: expansion and control joints, precast concrete panel joints, tilt-up panel joints, curtain wall joints and perimeter caulking (windows, doors, panels, radon mitigation, bedding of mullions, frames, etc.).
Dymonic® exhibits tenacious adhesion which will not diminish over product life. This unique weather resistant formulation possesses a balanced adhesive strength, low modulus, and high recovery, making it ideal to withstand the following adverse conditions common to such installations: moisture, movement, shear, and deflection.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Cure Time:
Dymonic cures at a rate of about 1/16" per day at 70.
F and 50% relative humidity. Dymonic will skin within 24 hours and be tack-free in 3 days. The cure time can increase as the temperatures and/or humidity decrease. A good rule of thumb is one additional day of cure for every 10
F decrease in temperature.
Sealant Dimensions:
EXPANSION JOINTS - The minimum width and depth of any sealant application should be 1/4" by 1/4" (6 mm by 6 mm).
The depth (D) of sealant may be equal to the width (W) of joints that are less than 1/2" wide. For joints ranging from 1/2" to 1" (13 mm to 25 mm) wide, the sealant depth should be approximately one-half of the joint width.
The maximum depth (D) of any sealant application should be 1/2" (13 mm). For joints that are wider than 1" (25 mm) contact Tremco's Technical Service Department, or your local Tremco field representative.
WINDOW PERIMETERS -- For fillet beads, or angle beads around windows and doors, the sealant should exhibit a minimum surface contact area (C) of 1/4" onto each substrate.
